Questions we hear from MSPs

This is Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud running on Okta's own infrastructure: Universal Directory, SSO, Adaptive MFA, and Lifecycle Management (LCM). No features removed, no restrictions, no limitations. ZeroTek is the management and billing layer on top. The Okta technology your clients get is identical to what 2/3 of Fortune 100 companies are currently running.

Okta's enterprise delivery model requires annual contracts with minimum upfront payments. Through ZeroTek, MSPs get special partner pricing on a month-to-month consumption basis. No annual contract, no minimums. You pay for the seats your clients use each month. We'll share pricing details on a call, but the short version: you're getting full Okta plus ZeroTek's multi-tenant management platform for less than what Okta charges enterprises for the equivalent licenses.

Most of our partners weren't when they started. Our Partner Success team walks you through your own internal deployment. Our Professional Services team then guides your team through the first two client deployments hands-on, with your tech driving and our team coaching. All of this is included free, as part of your onboarding. After two client deployments, most MSPs are confident enough to deploy independently. You also keep Zoom recordings of every session as training material for your team.

"Included in M365" isn't free: Entra secures your clients, but “already in the bundle” and “no cost to run well” aren’t the same thing. Delivering strong, consistent security across a book of clients with Entra is time: per-tenant config in admin portals that keep changing, complicated integrations, plenty of manual setup and cleanup. Okta delivered via ZeroTek changes the math. Okta’s Adaptive MFA, SSO, and Lifecycle Management (LCM) underpin a field-tested security baseline; ZeroTek lets you deploy it across any number of tenants. Most of Okta’s 8000+ SSO app integrations go live in under an hour, and Okta LCM automates provisioning and deprovisioning across 800+ apps—more than twice Microsoft’s ~360. That means offboarding closes every door at once instead of leaving orphaned accounts for your techs to chase and attackers to exploit. Month-to-month from Entra costs you 20% more, while monthly consumption-based billing is our default. Entra may suit pure-Microsoft clients. For everyone else, you'll pay at least as much to produce something close to Okta's capabilities — in license fees and wasted hours.

No. Okta integrates with just about everything, including Entra ID, M365, on-prem Active Directory, and Google Workspace. Whatever you want to keep, you keep, and just put Okta in front of it. There are significant cost-savings to retiring on-prem AD, and Okta does make this process straightforward. You don't need to rip and replace on day one. Most MSPs migrate clients progressively as contracts and timing allow.

No. Month-to-month. You pay only for what your clients consume. If a client leaves or downsizes, your bill adjusts automatically. No annual commitment, no minimum spend, no clawbacks, no license pools, no renewals process.

ZeroTek's support team, not Okta's. Our team holds Okta's highest-tier certifications and works exclusively with MSPs. They understand multi-tenant environments, ConnectWise integrations, and how to get your 40-person client live by Friday. One of our partners sent a ZeroTek support engineer a trophy because of how he handled their deployments.

Your clients stay authenticated and keep working — authentication doesn't run through ZeroTek. Once provisioned, it happens directly on Okta's infrastructure using OIDC and SAML, backed by Okta's 99.99% uptime SLA. If ZeroTek's management layer is temporarily unavailable, you just can't make admin changes in the console until it's back. For what it's worth, that's a rare situation: ZeroTek's platform has had no unplanned outages to date, with brief (under two minute) planned downtime during release pushes.
